Air Botswana Donates to Tawana Primary School

Friday, December 11, 2015 - 09:00

Air Botswana donated a printer/fax/scanner/photocopy combo machine and a computer to Tawana Primary School in Ditlharapa village. The donation was part of the airline’s community service initiative which is done in partnership with the Ministry of Transport & Communications. After having worked closely with the Education Department of the Good Hope Sub-District Council, Air Botswana was able to identify and close in on the needs of Tawana Primary School. It emerged that the school’s teachers were spending an unnecessary amount of time of time away from the school and had to travel great distances to access fax and copying facilities, an unfortunate situation which invariably had a bearing on the time spent in the classroom with the students. In an effort to remedy this situation so that teachers can focus solely and effectively on teaching duties, Air Botswana made the decision to hand over the new photocopy/print/scan/fax combo machine , including a computer to Tawana Primary School. The donation was done by the Acting General Manager Ms Agnes Khunwana in the presence of the school head, council authorities and village elders.
