Corporate Social Responsibility

Air Botswana is always conscious of its responsibility as model corporate citizen. The airline actively participates in activities geared towards strengthening developmental health, Arts, music, welfare and other corporate social investment projects that benefit and empower Botswana citizens through education and networking. 

Air Botswana’s Corporate Social Responsibility is always timely and strategic, answering calls from the public and private sectors as well as non-governmental organizations.  

Sponsorship

Air Botswana handles numerous sponsorship requests from various members of the business and corporate environment as well as individuals. The Airline’s sponsorship policy supports the concept of revenue generation through utilising various partnerships with various entities and builds on symbiotic relationships.

Submitting a Sponsorship Request

At Air Botswana we thank you for your interest in submitting a sponsorship proposal. We receive a lot of Requests for sponsorship, but we can only support a limited number of requests. We are therefore compelled to turn down a number of applicants even if they fit our sponsorship guidelines.

Timeline

Requests for sponsorship should be submitted at least 10 weeks prior to the proposed event or activity in order to provide the Airline with adequate time to evaluate your proposal, negotiate benefits and agreements, and plan participation.

If your event is selected for sponsorship, you will be contacted within 4 weeks of submitting your proposal.

Sponsorship Criteria

Sponsorships will be assessed based on the following; 

  • Complementarity of goals, vision, mission, guiding principles and strategic directions 
  • The sponsor has the ability to deliver what is promised 
  • Revenue Generation Potential
  • Prominent publicity and promotion
  • The sponsorship is not in violation of any standards and rules 
  • It should enhance the public stance of Air Botswana 
  • There should be no conflict of interest involved in the objectives of the sponsorship 
  • Social responsibility component
